Any eruption on the skin is cold rash/ rashes. These vary from tiny red colored pin-head sized lesions to large patches on any part of the body. These rashes may fade upon pressure (erythema) or remain static upon pressure too (purpura). The rashes indicate many fungal, viral, bacterial infections, allergies, drug eruptions and at times internal (systemic) disorders. The age of the patient, distribution of the rash and evolutions (progression) of the rash help in clinching the diagnosis.
